Indeed, the "Daffy Duck" of the waterfowl world, the Cormorant may look like a duck while driving by, but upon close inspection is able to dive and swim underwater for astounding depths and distances. The Cormorant does not have the oily feathers most ducks have and has to dry off before being able to take flight. Quite different from the Mallard duck.
Perhaps we can find a better analogy in math? If two plus two equals four the numbers add up.
